KENINGAU (Nov 26): Twenty-eight couples from the St James The Apostle Catholic Parish in Bunsit Bingkor participated in the Marriage Vows Renewal Recollection Program held recently at the church’s hall.
The annual program was divided into three sessions, aiming to strengthen the enduring and exclusive love between spouses and families, rooted in God’s divine plan.
The first session was titled “Spirituality in the Family”, second and third sessions, respectively, were titled “Family Communication” and “Happy Families and Today’s Challenges”, presented by catechist Josep Koten, teacher Juriah and catechist Dennis Zeno.
The program concluded with a session on family sharing and reconciliation.
The blessing and renewal of vows ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Apolonius Yakis.
Also present were catechists Clotilda Edwin, Tony Bioh, Joseph Koten, Denis Zeno Kogoh, and the chairman of the Catholic Community (KUK), Hady Dangga.
One of the participants, Helarry Jalil Angkub, expressed his gratitude, saying that he and his wife were blessed through the program, which served as a renewal of their marriage vows while also revitalizing their faith.
“Additionally, the program was a blessed moment for the participants to refresh the promises made in the past. The marriage vows were renewed, bringing new energy for couples to love each other more deeply in lifelong faithfulness.
“This reflection during the recollection provided a lot of inspiration to remain strong and faithful to each other in the journey of marriage, which often comes with trials, challenges, and obstacles,” he said.
