TAWAU: Two people were injured when the car they were travelling in crashed into a house after swerving to avoid a collision with another vehicle in Kampung Beruang, here, on Sunday.
The incident also caused damage to the structure of the house.
Tawau Fire and Rescue Station Chief Rastam Keladi said the injured victims included a 49-year-old woman with facial injuries and a six-year-old boy who sustained injuries to his right hand.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Isuzu Bighorn, a 68-year-old man, and a seven-year-old girl, as well as the driver of the Perodua Alza, aged 25, were unharmed.
According to Rastam, based on witness statements, both vehicles were believed to have narrowly avoided a collision and ended up crashing into the house.
It is understood that the house’s occupants were not at home at the time of the incident.
