KOTA KINABALU (Nov 27): The Rotary Club of Kinabalu Sutera welcomed three new members during a special induction ceremony on November 18 at The Kinabalu Club.
This significant event also marked the official visit of Assistant Governor Datuk Aminah Ambrose and took place during the club assembly.
The newly inducted members are Rotarian Jonathan George, an insurance consultant and event emcee; Rotarian Ivy Yew, an entrepreneur; and Rotarian Ebyone Ling, a bank officer.
Club President Dr Richard Gontusan presided over both the club assembly and the induction ceremony, which was attended by fellow club members and guests of the new inductees.
During the ceremony, the new members were encouraged to actively engage in club activities and embrace the Rotary motto, Service Above Self. They were reminded that through their involvement, they have the opportunity to contribute to making our community, country and the world a better place to live.
Rotary is not a political organisation, but its members are deeply committed to good citizenship and the election of qualified, ethical individuals to public office.
