KOTA KINABALU (Nov 26): An unemployed man was jailed for six months’ jail by a Magistrate’s Court here for flashing his private parts to a woman.
Magistrate Wan Farrah Fariza Wan Ghazali imposed the sentence on Muhammad Rosdaniel Abdullah, 20, after he pleaded guilty to a charge under Section 509 of the Penal Code.
He admitted to committing the offence at a stairs of an apartment here on November 17.
The facts of the case stated that the accused had said something to the victim, who later showed his private parts to her.
The victim informed about the incident in a WhatsApp group of the said apartment and lodged a police report, which led to Muhammad Rosdaniel’s arrest.
The magistrate ordered Muhammad Rosdaniel to be referred to the Immigration Department after serving his jail term for further action.
In another Magistrate’s Court here, a man was fined RM5,500, in default, five months’ jail for operating an entertainment outlet without a license.
Somido Alban admitted before magistrate Marilyn Kelvin to committing the offence at the outlet here on November 7.
